Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend was really busy for our family. It started on Friday at a birthday party for some of our friends at a park. We ate dinner, visited, and played. Kassidy LOVED being able to just run around in such a big area.
Then, on Saturday, we went with our ward/stake to Palmyira for the stake temple day. Levi went and did a temple session while the girls and I stayed at the nearby church building. I helped babysit kids, and Kassidy mostly played in the "ball room." She REALLY loves balls, especially basketballs. She even has a "routine" for shooting the basketball, a must for any good free-throw shooter. A skill she demonstrated in the bathfub for me using a little tiny basketball and hoop.
Then, on Monday, we started the day out at the beach on Lake Erie. We cooked breakfast out there with the Snedakers and the Dickinsons. We had french toast, eggs, bacon, and hash browns. Levi and Kortni did a GREAT job cooking. Then, the dads broke the cardinal rule of swimming and took the kids out to the water right away instead of "waiting for an hour after eating." It was Kaybree's second time at the beach, and let's just say she's not a fan of it.

After the beach, we went to a BBQ at te Beihn's house. We had the BEST chicken tacos I have ever eaten! Thanks Carolee!! The kids all had a blast, and Kaybree got spoiled being held the whole time by various people. I had wanted to get a picture of all of the girls before Alesha moved, so here it is, minus some VIP's that we REALLY missed (you know who you are, Laura and Brook!).

SOMEONE stole my camera and too this shot of Levi partying, and below is Kassidy sportin' her shades. She LOVES sunglasses and is one of the only kids I have ever seen leave them on for an extended period of time. CUTE!

That sounds like a blast. Hmmm, our labor was Gus babysat while a firend and I went shopping, which was way fun for us and way sweet of Gus and then the rest of the day was spent "laboring" at home. YAY Us!
So jealous of your beach! I soooo miss the beach.
