Ah Pay-ie

So, the other day I was in Kassidy's room. She was on the floor looking at all of her books (one of her favorite things to do. I was sitting in the rocking chair with Kaybree reading the books to the girls as Kassidy turned the pages. When she was done, she go up and started saying "ah pay-ie" over and over again. Then she would go over to her princess vanity and open it up and sit on it. Well, I finally figured out what she was saying.....A Potty! She thinks that the left side of her vanity is a potty! So funny and so cute! I was surprised because although we've talked about going potty, and she has sat on the big potty a couple of times, I didn't really think she got it. Well, she has been surprising me a lot lately. So now I put her on the potty anytime she says she's got to go. She hasn't done anything yet, but we're hoping she will soon. Until then, I'll just keep humoring her.

Kassidy's vanity. The teal thing in the left is the "potty."
Kassidy sitting on the potty. I can see how it makes sense to her. Oh, and just so you don't think that my kid is a constant ragamuffin, the picture below is what her hair started out looking like that morning. And, it got progressively worse as the day went on. If she has any point of the day where her hands aren't busy, they are running through her hair pulling any pretties out, or shoved up her nose! HA HA! (Levi go tthe best video of her nose mining in he car the other day. We'll try to get it posted) In the picture below, she had already pulled the ponytail on the left out once, so it got put back in crooked. I heard about a blog where this mom does a lot of cute things with her girls' hair, so I thought I'd start trying them. Is it worth it?

Kassidy LOVES to hold Kaybree. She will jump up in this chair and reach out saying, "baby." As soon as I put Kaybree in her arms she says, "thank you." It's the cutest thing. As you can tell, it's not Kaybree's favorite part of the day, but we do it anyway. Someday they'll be the best of friends! :)

How cute! I'm glad that she's all ready getting interested in the potty for you.

Soooo cute! What a doll. Hopefully she'll be a breeze with the potty training.
And Gracie rarely leaves anything in her hair. She's starting to get a little better though. It's so fun to do her hair if she'll let me.
You've got a couple of adorable girls.
Hope we can see you at Christmas!

That is so cute and funny! And she will be potty trained before you know it!

Gracie pulls everything out of her hair too. But it is still so fun to make it look cute anyway (for the couple of hours that it lasts). I think I have seen the same blog you have for the cute little girl hair-dos. Love it!

Okay, so I just looked at the pictures of Kaybree - they are absolutely adorable. I can't believe how great they turned out. I may have to hire you also. I love that Kass likes to sit on the potty. Good luck with that. Not a fun process. We're still struggling with the number 2 part. I know TMI. sorry. :)
