Our next event was a fun party at some friends' house. Levi went as "Joe the Hunter," and I went as "Jose Salazar," a construction worker. Cheesy, I know, but it's what we had. We decided that we must be THE biggest rednecks because we had all of the makings of those two costumes in our boxes in our basement, complete with an orange construction vest that had tar on it.
Next was our ward Trunk-Or-Treat, which turned into a Hall-o-Treat. It had been snowing that day and flakes were still falling here and there, so we all lined the hallways of the church to hand out candy. Give me a break on the picture, will ya? My costume was a "mommy at 2:00 in the afternoon." (yep, another cheesy one) Levi didn't dress up because he had to come straight from school.
Finally it was the actual Halloween. I made my traditional sugar cookies and we took them around to some people. Then, Levi took Kassidy Trick-or-Treating with some other dads while I stayed back with Kaybree and the girls. I was tired of putting her ladybug costume on, and I think she was tired of wearing it, so she wore the zebra costume that she couldn't wear last year because it was too hot in AZ. We had a lot of fun, and there were even more things going on (and friends to visit) that we wished we could have done, but by 7:45, Levi was beat so we called it a night and went home. Whew! Halloween was fun, but I'm kinda glad to see it go. I just wish all of the candy would have went with it!

I must have the most talented daughter-in-law in the world. You did a spectacular job on the costume. Sometimes the best ones are the one you have at home. You all looked great and glad Kassidy had such a good time. Love you.
I can't believe you made that Lady Bug costume...well, yes I can. You are so talented. Halloween was fun, but I think I'm glad it is over with too.
But wait... now there's three more holidays right around the corner! Kinda makes you wanna take a nap, doesn't it? lol.
Kassidy's costume turned out so cute! Wow, that was a lot of Halloween goodness that you got to enjoy. You're going to have to take a week to rest. And I still can't believe that it has been snowing there. YIKES!
That costume is spooktacular! haha...You are so amazing!
Such a cute lady bug! Was Kaybree a ballerina?
I think sometimes we get so wrapped up in what the kids are going to be, our costumes don't get much thought till the last minute. You guys did great! I wore a really cute apron! (That I am about to do a post on) And Evan came straight from work.
Maybe one day I'll be as talented as you my friend!
I too am glad to have Halloween over. In efforts to avoid eating the candy I threw most of it out...thank heaven for 2 year-olds that don't notice their candy bag going from full to almost empty over night, haha!
oh my gosh! Why have I been slackin on your blog? I love it! Your girls are soo freaking cute, and that costume! I LOVE IT! My K has a ladybug girl costume that she wears year round that looks a lot like that. Have you read the book ladybug girl? You should get it. It's cute.
Love the costumes!!! I think it's sad to get a costume and get all excited about it and then only be able to wear it once or twice. So way to get the most out of it.
Trick or treating is tiring!!!
