Starting Pre-School

Kassidy started preschool this week, and after one day, I can officially say that I'm sad about it, but I know that she needs it and will love it! There are 6 little tykes from our ward in her class...at the Methodist preschool. Okay, so I think it's funny, you might not. Anyway, I can't believe that she's already this old and such a big girl. We went to orientation on Tuesday and she did pretty well. She had no problem with me leaving her, but after a while she said, "I miss my mom." My heart loves this because it means she loves me. :) Thursday when she went for the full 2.5 hours, her teacher said that she did ok but had asked to go home a couple of times, and then after gym she cried a little. Later, I realized that she was probably crying because she got a blister from her tennis shoes. Poor girl! Anyway, so far so good, and I hope it only gets better for her.

Sorry about the quality of this shot, I had to hurry and didn't want to upset any more kids by using a flash. This is her as soon as we got there. She went right in to start playing. The teacher tried to get her to play with a felt doll dress-up set, but she went right to the blocks instead.

This one is mostly for my mom. When we were visiting her last week, I went through her awesome collection of fabric scraps and found some neat vintage pieces to make this bag with. They don't use backpacks at her school, they use totes instead, so I made her this one. I love it, and so does she! Thanks, Mom!!
