Yesterday we went to the zoo with our playgroup. It was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed visiting with my friends while there. Apparently, I enjoyed visiting TOO much. We went into the kangaroo habitat and I was talking when one of the girls said, "Um..." and I looked up and there was Kassidy in with the kangaroos petting one! She had climbed over the rope and walked right up to one that looked just like the one above and was touching it and talking to it. I hurried and told her to get out of there and she obeyed. As she walked away and climbed back over the rope she said, "Bye kangaroo!" Visions of YouTube videos of attacking kangaroos went through my head and I counted my blessings that my fearless girl wasn't hurt.
I'm a great parent.
When Levi got home I told him the story. After Kassidy woke up from her nap, he asked her what she did at the zoo. Then he asked if she got to pet any animals, and she said, "Yep, I pet a kangaroo!" She was pretty excited about it.

That is honestly the funniest thing I have ever heard. That is something I thought only my kids would do! I love it.
Funny, funny. Kasidy is a brave little girl!
That is really so cute. I'm sure the kangaroos must have known she was just there to love them.
That's awesome. I feel your pain. Sometime I'll tell you about Brett falling out of the shopping cart onto his head while I was looking at bandaids. :)
