Little Bookworm
Usually when our house is quiet and I haven't seen Kassidy for a while, I know where to look. Now moms of troublemakers, don't hate me I know I'm lucky...for now. She's only 2! Anyway, the first place I check is her bedroom and this is usually what I find:

Kassidy LOVES her books. I love to quietly walk up to her door and just listen to her read out loud. Obviously she can't actually read, but we read them together so much that she has many of the MEMORIZED. That's right, I said memorized. There are a couple of them that if we are in the car and Levi or I start saying the book, she'll finish reciting the whole thing. I am amazed! The really cute thing is that she even changes her voice for emphasis just like I do when I read the books to her. I love that she loves books and I'm always on the lookout for good, cheap books to add to her collection because we read them so often and I get tired of the same books over and over. Her favorite book is "Old Hat, New Hat." Her copy doesn't look nearly as clean and neat as this one, and it is held together with masking tape. But it's a treasure that is at least 35 years old and has each child's name in our family witten in it in their own kid handwriting. A true treasure!

how awesome is that?
No really, she is super cute. Isnt that funny how they just memorize the books? The other day I was hanging out doing something and ko was reading a thomas book word for word, I had to pause and remember that he couldnt read. Silly kids.
